The KUMO WOOD BIG ONE push handle from Viefe sets new standards in the design of doors and large furniture fronts, both indoors and outdoors. As the manufacturer's first large wooden handle specially developed for outdoor use, it combines outstanding aesthetics with high functionality. Made from solid oak or walnut, KUMO WOOD BIG ONE features an ultra-matt high-performance finish that guarantees UV resistance, colour fastness and long-term durability, even when exposed to the elements. The aluminium feet of the handle are treated with a special outdoor coating that keeps the handle looking flawless for years to come.
The elegant design creates a ‘floating’ effect on doors, enhanced by the round handle profile, the offset feet and the characteristic ‘wing’ shape on the sides. With a diameter of 22 mm and available sizes of 448 mm and 1056 mm between the fixing points, the KUMO WOOD BIG ONE combines robustness, ergonomics and a clear formal language. Whether on large sliding doors, cabinet fronts or entrance doors, this handle ensures visual continuity and harmonious transitions between indoor and outdoor areas.
The handle is available in versions for single-sided or double-sided mounting, making it a perfect fit for both conventional swing and sliding doors. Ilja Huber's design is inspired by Japanese aesthetics, which recognise beauty in lightness. Its name, ‘Kumo’, means ‘cloud’ and reflects the image of clouds floating above the landscape. This poetic motif is translated into a design that combines Japanese craftsmanship and Scandinavian minimalist aesthetics, creating a harmonious lightness in every project.
