How do I install a magnetic catch?

Installing a magnetic catch is a simple process. All you need are a few DIY tools and the following steps:

• Position the base plate of the magnetic catch on the inside of your cabinet or door. Mark the screw positions with a pencil. Make sure the magnet is placed high enough so that it aligns with the opposite surface where the metal plate will be attached.
• Using a drill and a small pilot drill bit, drill holes into the cabinet or door at the marked spots.
• Insert screws through the holes in the base plate of the magnetic catch and secure it to your cabinet or door with a screwdriver.
• Attach the metal plate to the opposite surface. Make sure that when the door or cabinet is closed, the position of the metal plate aligns with the magnetic catch. Drill holes, insert, and screw the metal plate in place just as you did with the base plate.
• Check the functionality by closing and opening the door or cabinet. The magnetic catch is working correctly if the door stays fully closed and there is no gap between the door and the frame.
