What is the difference between door stoppers and door holders?

A door stopper and a door holder both have the function of keeping a door in a certain position. However, they differ in the way they do this.

• Door stopper: Door stoppers are used to prevent a door from hitting a wall, a piece of furniture, or other objects and causing damage.
