What is the difference between door stoppers and door holders?
A door stopper and a door holder both have the function of keeping a door in a certain position. However, they differ in the way they do this.
- Door stopper: Door stoppers are used to prevent a door from hitting a wall, a piece of furniture, or other objects and causing damage. They are usually made of rubber or other soft material and can either be mounted on the floor or used as a portable unit. Some models are attached to the bottom of the door and others are screwed directly into the wall.
- Door holder: A door holder, on the other hand, is designed to keep a door in an open position. This can be useful for allowing constant ventilation or making passage easier for people. Door holders can be either mechanical or magnetic. Mechanical models use some kind of latch or wedge mechanism, while magnetic models use one magnet mounted on the door and one mounted on the wall to keep the door in position.
Both devices offer important functions and increase comfort and safety in your home or office.
