If weather exposure plays a smaller role, other materials such as plastic can also be used. Its advantage is that it is particularly lightweight. • Weight: The weight of the door to be mounted must correspond to the load-bearing capacity of the hinge. For example, brass hinges designed specifically for furniture construction cannot cope with heavy door leaves.
